Frequently asked questions

Who can open a QuickPay account?

Individuals who are at least 18 years old, live in one of the 50 US states or the District of Columbia, and have a Social Security number. We verify every applicant before any card is issued.

Is QuickPay a bank?

No. QuickPay is a financial technology company. Accounts and cards are issued by our partner bank, which is named at the bottom of every page.

Why do you need my Social Security number?

Federal law requires the bank to verify the identity of every customer (31 CFR 1020.220). Your number goes over an encrypted connection straight to our card platform for verification. QuickPay does not store it.

How fast do I get a card?

Most applicants are verified within a few minutes. Once you are approved you can create a virtual card right away and use it online or add it to a mobile wallet where supported.

How do I add money?

Link a checking or savings account in your own name, confirm two small test deposits, and then authorize a transfer. Bank transfers usually arrive within one to two business days.

Can I send money to other people?

You can send money to other verified QuickPay members by email address. Transfers between members arrive in seconds.

What if my card is lost or I see a charge I did not make?

Freeze the card in the app right away and contact support. You have rights under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (Regulation E) for unauthorized transactions, explained in the cardholder agreement.

Do you sell my data?

No. We share personal information only as the Privacy Policy explains, for example with the bank and with identity verification providers, and as the law requires.
