QuickPay Cardholder Agreement
Effective October 13, 2026
Draft for bank review. The Cardholder Agreement is issued by the Bank. This draft will be replaced by the version the Bank approves before any account is opened. Version 0.0-draft.
This Cardholder Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and [ISSUING_BANK], Member FDIC (the "Bank"). Royal Payment Solutions, LLC ("QuickPay") manages the program for the Bank. "You" means the person who opened the account. Please keep a copy.
1. Your account
Your QuickPay account is a prepaid account held at the Bank. It is not a credit account and has no overdraft or credit feature. You can spend only the money available in the account. The account is for personal, family or household use by one person.
2. Virtual cards
You may create up to 5 virtual cards that draw on your account balance. Each card belongs to the Bank and is licensed by [CARD_NETWORK]. You may freeze, unfreeze, set limits on or close a card in the app. You may not let anyone else use your cards.
3. Adding money
You may add money by ACH debit from a US bank account in your own name, and receive money from other verified QuickPay members, where these features are available for your account. Limits are shown on the Pricing page and may be lower for your account.
4. Fees
All fees are listed in the fee disclosures, which form part of this Agreement. We will give you at least 21 days' notice before increasing a fee or adding a new fee, unless the law allows otherwise.
5. Account information
You can see your balance and at least 24 months of transaction history in the app at any time, free of charge. You may also ask for a written history of at least 24 months at no cost by contacting support.
6. Your liability for unauthorized transfers
Tell us at once if you believe a card or your login has been lost or stolen, or that someone has made or may make transfers without your permission. Freezing the card in the app and contacting support is the fastest way. If you tell us within 2 business days after you learn of the loss or theft, you can lose no more than $50 if someone used your card or login without your permission. If you do not tell us within 2 business days and we can prove we could have stopped someone from using it had you told us, you could lose as much as $500.
If your electronic history shows transfers that you did not make, tell us at once. If you do not tell us within 60 days after the earlier of the date you first viewed the history showing the transfer, or 120 days after the transfer was credited or debited, you may not get back any money you lost after that period if we can prove we could have stopped someone from taking the money had you told us in time. If a good reason, such as a long trip or a hospital stay, kept you from telling us, we will extend the time periods.
Contact: support@getroyalpay.com, or the support form in the app.
7. In case of errors or questions about your transactions
Contact us as soon as you can if you think an error has occurred in your account. We must allow you to report an error until 60 days after the earlier of the date you electronically access your account, if the error could be viewed in your electronic history, or the date we sent the first written history on which the error appeared. You may request a written history of your transactions at any time. You will need to tell us your name and email address, why you believe there is an error and the dollar amount involved, and approximately when the error took place.
If you tell us orally, we may require that you send us your complaint or question in writing within 10 business days. We will determine whether an error occurred within 10 business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly. If we need more time, however, we may take up to 45 days to investigate your complaint or question. If we decide to do this, and your account is registered with us, we will credit your account within 10 business days for the amount you think is in error, so that you will have the use of the money during the time it takes us to complete our investigation. If we ask you to put your complaint or question in writing and we do not receive it within 10 business days, we may not credit your account. For errors involving new accounts, point-of-sale or foreign-initiated transactions, we may take up to 90 days to investigate, and for new accounts we may take up to 20 business days to credit your account.
We will tell you the results within three business days after completing our investigation. If we decide that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation. You may ask for copies of the documents that we used in our investigation.
8. Our liability
If we do not complete a transfer to or from your account on time or in the correct amount according to this Agreement, we will be liable for your losses or damages, except where the law or this Agreement says otherwise, for example if you do not have enough money in the account, if a merchant refuses the card, or if circumstances beyond our control prevent the transfer despite reasonable precautions.
9. Information we share with third parties
We disclose information about your account or transactions to third parties when needed to complete transactions, to verify the account for a merchant, to comply with a court order or government request, with your permission, or as the Privacy Policy and the Bank's privacy notice describe.
10. Closing the account
You may close your account at any time. We may close or suspend it as the law allows, including if we cannot verify your identity or suspect fraud or illegal activity. When the account is closed we will return your remaining balance, less amounts you owe, by ACH to a bank account in your name or by another method the law allows.
11. Unclaimed funds
If your account is inactive for the period set by state law, the balance may be transferred to the state as unclaimed property.
12. Changes
We may change this Agreement. We will give you notice at least 21 days before a change that increases fees or your liability, or reduces the types of transfers available, unless an immediate change is needed for security.
13. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by federal law and, to the extent not preempted, the laws of the state in which the Bank is located.
14. Complaints
Contact support first. You can also contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov or 1-855-411-2372.
